Welch LLP is pleased to announce that Richard Monk, C.Dir., CFE, FCMA, Managing Director of Welch Consulting Group has been appointed Chair of the National Board of Directors of the Certified Management Accountants of Canada (CMA Canada).
Richard Monk received his CMA in 1985. A graduate of the Director’s College at the deGroote School of Business, McMaster University, he was named a Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada in 2000, has served as a member of the National Board of Directors of CMA Canada for the last five years, and is a Past Chair of the Board of Governors of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario.
As CMA Canada increases its visibility and embarks on new ways to reach a diverse audience, building consensus and emphasizing a teamwork approach with be Richard’s focus. “My first goal is to make sure our major governance initiatives are aligned,” stated Richard.
