Don Timmins , CA - Ottawa

Don Timmins joined Welch LLP in 1979 shortly after graduating from Carleton University. His CA designation was earned in 1981, and he went on to become a Partner in 1985. Don is the Past-Managing Partner of the Ottawa office (1997-2006) and currently chairs the Executive Committee of the firm. He served as Chair (2007-2009) of the America's Region Board of BKR International (our worldwide affiliate) and effective July 1st was appointed a Worldwide Chair.

Don provides business advisory services to his clients in a rapidly changing business environment. His focus is on small to medium sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations. He has also designed internal professional programs in the fields of accounting and auditing, and is a much sought-after guest speaker. Don is an active member of the community. He has spent much of his spare time being involved with various organizations such as the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa, the Ottawa Chartered Accountants Association, and the Canadian Institute for the Blind, the Ottawa Indoor Games Committee, the Ottawa Sports Festival and the Carlsbad/Ramseyville Community Recreation Committee.
