John Bailey, CA - Trenton

John began working with Welch LLP as an articling student in 1966 and obtained his CA degree in 1972.

After a brief period where John had his own practicing office and also was involved in another accounting partnership in the Quinte area, he rejoined Welch LLP in 1981 as a Partner and established their office in Trenton.

Over the years, John has been involved in all areas of public accounting but has particularly enjoyed the close one-on-one working relationship established with his many business and tax clients. "It's very gratifying to see second generations of families become successfully involved in the operation and ownership of the family business and in some cases, I even have third generations now invovled."

John is a past member on the executives for the: Trenton Big Brothers and Big Sisters; St. George's Anglican Church; Trenton Dolphins Swim Club and the Quinte District C.A. Association. John also sat on two committees for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario: the Taxation Committee and the Small Practices Committee.
John has previously served the Partners of Welch LLP on the firm's Executive Committee for several years.
