micheal burch, CA, CFP - Ottawa

Micheal joined the Welch LLP team in 1978 after graduating from the University of Ottawa where he received his Bachelor of Administration degree. He went on to receive his CA designation in 1981. Micheal is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and provides specialty support in all areas of taxation - corporate and personal. Micheal played an integral part in the development of the IT branch of Welch LLP and is now the Managing Partner of the Ottawa office.

He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and enjoys his time participating with the Welch LLP sponsored athletic teams.

Micheal's community involvement includes being a Trustee and Treasurer of Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame and being an active member of the organizing committee for the Ronald McDonald House Ski-Fest. (An annual event that raises a significant portion of the operating funds for Ronald McDonald House in Ottawa)
