Shawn KElso , CA - Ottawa

Shawn graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1994 and received his CA designation in 1996. He articled with Welch LLP and returned to the firm in 2002 after spending several years in the industry. Shawn became a Partner in January 2008.

Shawn is the Director of Professional Standards for the Firm and in this capacity is responsible for all aspects of the Firm's quality assurance program. In addition to his duties as Director of Professional Standards, Shawn also provides audit, accounting and business advisory services to private sector owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Shawn also teaches professional development courses and performs practice inspections for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.

Outside of the office, Shawn is involved in many activities including volunteer work with the Owl Park Community Association. In his spare time, Shawn enjoys playing hockey with the Welch Wolverines, cycling, running and spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.
