Micheal Burch named Business Leader of the Year

Managing Partner Micheal Burch, FCPA, FCA has been recognized for his remarkable business leadership by receiving the 2018 “Business Leader of the Year” award at the 2018 West Ottawa Business Excellence Awards.

Micheal was named Managing Partner of Welch LLP in 2008 after dedicating 16 years to the firm. His innovative mindset has been the driving force behind Welch’s success over the past decade; realizing all-time high firm growth, and gaining recognition across Ontario as a respected, invaluable member of the greater community.

Micheal is a trusted business advisor, advocate, and fearless leader. His approach to leadership is one of teaching, guidance, and mentorship; providing his employees every opportunity to develop and grow in their careers. Micheal puts trust in his team, embracing people’s differences and allowing each individual to play to their strengths and unique skill set.

His passion for giving back to the community is far reaching. Not only does Micheal devote personal time as a board member on multiple not-for-profit boards, but he has instilled this sense of community throughout the firm as a central component to life at Welch.
