Welch LLP’s Annual Grand Casino Postponed

It is with the deepest regret that we must announce the postponement of this year’s Welch LLP Grand Casino: Betting against Cancer to 2021.
With timelines unknown due to COVID-19, especially with all the touchpoints of an event that involves people handling chips, cards and money, we came to the conclusion that we will begin planning the next Grand Casino only when we are confident that it is safe.
In its 5th year, the Grand Casino raises funds to support the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. The Cancer Foundation is a leader in the community in providing local residents with increased access to person-centered care through the delivery of the Cancer Coaching Health and Social Care Service, innovative cancer research, and a world-class clinic trials program.
We will continue support the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation in alternative ways throughout 2020.

The Lifetime Capital Gains Exemption (LCGE) for Medical Professionals
April 06, 2021 – Residents in Canada can claim the LCGE on the disposition of shares of a Qualifying Small Business Corporation (QSBC). By claiming the LCGE, the individual can shelter up to $892,918 (the current maximum LCGE) of the capital gain realized on the disposition of the QSBC shares.

Form PD27 – Mandatory Subsidy Reporting Requirement for Employers
